Frequently Asked Questions
A parlay (also called an accumulator or combo bet) combines multiple individual bets into one wager. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out. The odds multiply together, creating higher potential payouts but lower probability of winning.
Parlay odds are calculated by multiplying the decimal odds of each leg together. For example, two bets at 2.0 decimal odds each create a parlay at 4.0 (2.0 × 2.0). This calculator converts American and fractional odds to decimal, multiplies them, then converts back to your preferred format.
Parlays heavily favor the house because the true probability of hitting all legs is lower than the payout suggests. Each leg compounds the sportsbook's edge. A 2-leg parlay at -110 each has about 5% house edge, but a 5-leg parlay can exceed 25% house edge. The bigger the parlay, the worse the odds for bettors.
Correlated parlays combine outcomes that are statistically linked (like a team winning AND the over hitting). Sportsbooks try to block these because they can offer +EV opportunities. When you find correlated outcomes that aren't restricted, they can be valuable. This calculator shows implied probability to help identify mispriced correlations.
Same-game parlays combine multiple bets from a single game. Sportsbooks use proprietary algorithms to price SGPs, often with significant juice. The advertised odds are typically worse than if you could parlay the legs independently. Use this calculator to compare fair parlay odds against SGP pricing.
