Upside vs OddsJam: prices, tools and who each one is for

Updated November 3, 2026 · Written by the Upside team

OddsJam and Upside do the same core job. Both compare prices across sportsbooks, work out a fair price for each bet, and show you where a book is paying more than it should. Neither one picks bets for you. They show the math, and you decide.

We make Upside, so read this with that in mind. We have tried to write the page we would want to read if we were choosing. That means saying where OddsJam is better, and every claim about OddsJam links to OddsJam's own site or app listing, checked on November 3, 2026.

The short answer

Pick OddsJam if you want the biggest toolbox and will pay for it. It covers more books, has phone apps, a bet tracker, a middles finder and a promo converter, and its top plan is built for full-time bettors.

Pick Upside if you want the same core tools for much less. Upside's +EV and arbitrage tools start at $59.99 a month. At OddsJam, the plan that lists both is Platinum, which runs $16.60 a day, about $500 a month. One Upside plan also covers sportsbooks, pick'em apps like PrizePicks and prediction markets like Kalshi together.

What each one costs

OddsJam sells separate plans for separate jobs. Its pricing page shows two. Sharp Money follows large bets for $6.60 a day billed monthly. Platinum has arbitrage, +EV, middles, low holds, the promo converter and live bets for $16.60 a day billed monthly, or $13.60 a day billed yearly. In its iPhone app those are $199.99 and $499.99 a month. Its app listings also show a $59.99 Fantasy plan for pick'em apps, a $19.99 Trends plan and a $449.99 Prediction Traders plan.

Upside has three plans, and each one includes everything in the plan below it. Silver is $59.99 a month and has the +EV optimizers for sportsbooks, pick'em apps and prediction markets, plus arbitrage and low hold. Gold is $159.99 and adds Whale Watch, which tracks the biggest bets. Diamond is $199.99 and adds +EV Sniper, live betting and the VIP Discord. The Odds Screen is free with an email. See all plans.

OddsJam gives you 7 days free on every plan. Upside gives you 5. OddsJam's trial is longer.

Where OddsJam is better

More books. OddsJam says it pulls odds from 150+ books and betting apps, and Platinum recommends bets at 107+ of them, including global books. Upside covers 47 sportsbooks, pick'em apps, exchanges and prediction markets. If you bet at offshore or international books, OddsJam will likely see more of them.

Phone apps. OddsJam has iPhone and Android apps with push alerts for new +EV, arbitrage and fantasy plays. Upside runs in your phone's browser and has no App Store app.

Tools Upside doesn't have. OddsJam has a middles finder, a promo converter for bonus bets, and a bet tracker in its app. Upside has none of these. It has a free bonus bet calculator and a Low Hold tool that do part of the promo converter's job, and you can mark bets as placed, but it doesn't track your results.

Extras for heavy users. Platinum includes 1:1 meetings with coaches, OddsJam sells an odds API to developers, and it lists 13 free calculators to Upside's 8.

Where Upside is better

Price. Upside's cheapest plan with +EV and arbitrage is $59.99 a month. At OddsJam, both are on Platinum at about $500 a month. Upside's most expensive plan, Diamond at $199.99, costs the same as OddsJam's Sharp Money plan on its own.

One plan for every kind of app. On Upside, the same Silver plan finds +EV plays at sportsbooks, at pick'em apps like PrizePicks, Underdog, Betr and DK Pick6, and on prediction markets like Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig and ProphetX. At OddsJam, pick'em apps are on the Fantasy plan, and prediction markets are a separate Prediction Traders plan built around other traders' picks rather than prices.

Free tools that do real work. Upside's Odds Screen and Steam Chaser are free with an email, no card. We couldn't find a free odds screen or +EV tool at OddsJam.

You choose how fair odds are set. Every +EV number depends on the fair price behind it. Upside lets you switch that price between every book, sharp books only, Pinnacle only, or your own weights, and see how the board changes. How book weights work.

Following big bets

Both tools follow big money. OddsJam's Sharp Money plan watches for unusually large bets and exchange liquidity, then tells you where to bet the same side. Upside's Whale Watch does the same job on Gold at $159.99, and it includes the large orders waiting on prediction markets such as Kalshi, ProphetX and Novig, where you can see each order's size and price.

A big bet is a signal, not a sure thing. Big bettors lose too. Both tools show you the size and the price, and the price is what decides whether a bet is worth making.
