The best positive EV betting tools in 2026, compared

Updated November 8, 2026 · Written by the Upside team

A positive EV betting tool compares every sportsbook's price for a bet with an estimate of the fair odds, then shows you the bets a book is paying too much on. Every tool here does that. They differ in how they work out the fair price, which bets they cover, and what the plan with the +EV feed costs, from free to about $500 a month.

Here are seven of them. We make Upside, which is one of them, so we've marked it and held every tool to the same rules. Each one's prices and features come from its own site or app listing, checked on November 3, 2026, and each one gets a fair "best for".

What a +EV tool does

Every sportsbook builds a margin into its odds, called the vig. Take it out and you get that book's estimate of each side's real chance of winning. A +EV tool does this across many books at once, turns the results into one fair price, and flags any bet a book is paying more on than that fair price. The gap is the edge, shown as an EV percentage.

A +5% EV bet is not a bet that will win. It means that if you made bets like it many times at that price, you'd expect to get back about 5% more than you staked over the long run. Single bets still lose, often several in a row, so how much you bet matters as much as what you bet. The free EV calculator and Kelly calculator do that math for one bet.

What to compare before you pay

How it sets fair odds. Every edge is measured against this number, so it matters most. Some tools use one sharp book, usually Pinnacle, with the vig taken out. Others blend several books and weight the sharper ones more. The better tools say which method they use and let you change it. We tested five ways of taking out the vig against 64,670 settled markets in Which devig method is most accurate.

What it covers. Check that a tool prices the bets you actually make: game lines, player props, pick'em apps like PrizePicks and Underdog, or prediction markets like Kalshi.

Which plan has the +EV feed. Several tools sell a cheaper plan without it. The price that counts is the cheapest plan with the full +EV feed, which is the "+EV tools from" column in the table further down. Live +EV is usually on a higher plan again.

How many books it covers. More books means more prices that can beat the fair line, but only books you can bet at count. This list is for US bettors. If you bet mainly at European bookmakers, RebelBetting and BetBurger are built for them and aren't covered here.

1. Upside

Our tool. +EV for sportsbooks, pick'em apps and prediction markets from $59.99 a month, with fair odds you can change.

Upside's Silver plan, at $59.99 a month, has +EV optimizers for sportsbook game lines and player props, pick'em apps like PrizePicks, Underdog, Betr and DK Pick6, and prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket. Diamond, at $199.99, adds +EV Sniper, one board with every sport, market and book ranked by EV, plus live betting.

Fair odds are a blend of every book's no-vig price by default. You can switch to sharp books only, Pinnacle only, or your own weights, and we publish how we weight them. The Odds Screen is free with an email.

What it lacks: fewer books than OddsJam, OddsShopper or Sharp App (47 sportsbooks, pick'em apps, exchanges and prediction markets), no phone app, and no bet tracker.

Best for: Bettors who want +EV across sportsbooks, pick'em apps and prediction markets on one plan, and who want to see and change how fair odds are set.

2. OddsJam

The best-known +EV tool, with the most books and a phone app. Its +EV feed is on Platinum, about $500 a month.

OddsJam's +EV feed, arbitrage, middles, live betting and promo converter are on Platinum, at $16.60 a day billed monthly, which is about $500 a month, with half off the first month. The Fantasy plan, at $59.99, has a pick'em optimizer, but the sportsbook +EV feed is on Platinum.

It works out fair odds from sharp books, weighted by how sharp each book has been in its past testing. It covers 150+ books and betting apps and recommends bets at 107+ of them on Platinum. It has iPhone and Android apps with push alerts and a bet tracker.

Best for: Bettors with a big bankroll who bet at many books and want every tool in one app.

3. Outlier

A player prop research app with a full +EV feed on its Pro plan, $79.99 a month.

Outlier is built for prop research: recent games, matchups, injuries and AI breakdowns. Premium+, at $29.99, adds +EV badges to those props. The full +EV feed, arbitrage, middles and the React Live app for live bets are on Pro, at $79.99.

Fair odds default to Pinnacle with the vig taken out, and Pro lets you pick several books and weight each one. It shows PrizePicks and Underdog lines and doesn't publish how many books it covers.

Best for: Prop bettors who want to research a player and check the price in the same phone app.

4. Unabated

A sharp bettor's toolkit built around its own fair line. Its +EV tool is on Premium, $199 a month.

Unabated's +EV tool is the Edge Tool, on Premium at $199 a month. It measures every price against the Unabated Line, a no-vig blend of market-making books such as Circa, Bookmaker and Pinnacle, weighted by sport. Premium also has live odds for the NBA, MLB and college basketball.

Its game, prop and futures odds screens are free with a login. There's no free trial, but there is a 14-day money-back guarantee on a first monthly plan. It runs on the web only.

Best for: Bettors who care most about where the fair line comes from and want to learn to build their own.

5. OddsShopper

A +EV tool that suggests a size for each bet, from $99.95 a month, with a free account to start.

OddsShopper's +EV tool is PortfolioEV, on Core at $99.95 a month. It ranks +EV bets and suggests how much to put on each one. Fair odds come from sharp books with the vig taken out, and you can choose the books and weight each one. In-game +EV is on Pro, at $149.95.

It covers 110+ sportsbooks and has phone apps, a bet tracker and a free bet converter. A free account gets an odds screen on a 60-second refresh and arbitrage up to 2%, but the best +EV bets stay locked.

Best for: Bettors who want bet sizes worked out for them and a free account to try first.

6. Sharp App

A phone-first +EV app that covers pick'em apps and prediction markets, from $69.99 a month.

Sharp App's EV Tracker is on Core, at $69.99 a month or $399.99 a year, with arbitrage and a prop tool called Proptimizer. Core covers PrizePicks, Underdog, Betr, Dabble, DK Pick6, ParlayPlay and Sleeper, and Polymarket, Kalshi and PredictIt. In-play +EV is on Ultimate, at $179.99.

It says it covers 100+ sportsbooks and apps. Beyond comparing each price to a sharp market baseline, it doesn't publish how it works out fair odds. There's no free plan.

Best for: Bettors who bet from their phone and want a yearly plan to bring the cost down.

7. Crazy Ninja Odds

The free one. A +EV page with nine ways to set fair odds and no sign-up.

Crazy Ninja Odds is free, with optional supporter tiers from $5 a month. Its +EV page lets you choose from nine no-vig methods, weighted by liquidity or not, so you can see how much the method changes the answer.

Its +EV filter lists about 20 books, exchanges and apps, including Kalshi, Novig and ProphetX. Player props are off by default, PrizePicks is its only pick'em app, live data can lag, and it runs on the web only.

Best for: Anyone learning +EV who wants to see how it works before paying for a tool.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best positive EV betting tool?

It depends on what you bet. For sportsbooks, pick'em apps and prediction markets on one plan, Upside's Silver plan is $59.99 a month. For the most books and a phone app, OddsJam's Platinum plan is about $500 a month. For player prop research, Outlier Pro is $79.99. For a fair line built from market-making books, Unabated Premium is $199. To try +EV for free, Crazy Ninja Odds needs no sign-up. We make Upside.

Is there a free positive EV betting tool?

Yes. Crazy Ninja Odds has a free +EV page with no sign-up. OddsShopper's free account shows some +EV bets but locks the best ones. Unabated's odds screens and Upside's Odds Screen are free, but neither includes the +EV feed.

How do positive EV betting tools work out fair odds?

They take the vig out of one or more books' prices to estimate each side's real chance. Outlier uses Pinnacle by default. OddsJam, OddsShopper and Unabated weight sharp books. Upside blends every book by default and lets you switch to sharp books, Pinnacle or your own weights. Crazy Ninja Odds lets you pick from nine methods.

Is positive EV betting profitable?

Over a large number of bets it can be, if the fair odds are accurate and you get the price the tool shows. Any single bet can lose, long losing runs are normal, and sportsbooks may limit accounts that win. Sizing each bet to your bankroll matters as much as the edge.

Which positive EV tools cover PrizePicks and Underdog?

Upside, Sharp App, OddsShopper, Outlier and OddsJam's Fantasy plan cover both. Crazy Ninja Odds covers PrizePicks only.

Which positive EV tools have live betting?

OddsJam on Platinum, Outlier on Pro through its React Live app, Unabated on Premium for the NBA, MLB and college basketball, OddsShopper on Pro, Sharp App on Ultimate and Upside on Diamond. Crazy Ninja Odds includes live bets for free, though its live data can lag.

See the numbers yourself.

The fastest way to compare is to open both on the same game. Upside's Odds Screen is free with an email.
